I just moved to San Francisco from New York where I'd started laser hair removal on my underarms and legs. When I went to the Berman Skin Institute in San Francisco I met with a highly recommended Registered Nurse, Karen Goldman, RN, for my consultation. She has over 6 years experience and was honest, freindly and informative. Being a shopper, I did check out a few other places before I decided to make an appt. with Karen. She definately provided me with a comfortable, excellent and thorough treatment. I highly recommend her and the clinic for Laser Hair Removal. Their prices were good and the staff was very friendly. She explained lots of other treatments they offer and if I get brave enough, I will let her take off the tattoo on my ankle. Thanks Karen! ~amy

All I can say is FANTASTIC!
The nurse Karen Goldman was super kind and honest with my consultation. She did my Botox better than anyone has in the last 5 years and the price was unbeatable for SF. I know I will be going back for filler and maybe something else..... who knows.
She recommended the MD's she works with and they accept insurance, so I will probably be moving over for all my derm and cosmetics.
Thank you Karen

Laser Hair Removal |
|
Dr. Berman believes that by listening carefully to his patients & reviewing treatment options will help deliver the results you want to achieve.
Lasers have been used for the removal of unwanted hair by physicians since 1998. Since that time the technology used has dramatically improved and patients, including those with dark skin, are seeing very good and lasting results. Generally laser hair removal is 80% to 90% effective, meaning 90% of hair in the area will likely remain gone. Follow up maintenance treatments may be needed at 6 months to a year following the initial series of treatment to maintain hair removal.
It’s important if you are considering laser hair removal to protect your skin from the sun. Lasers work by targeting the melanin pigment in your hair follicle and if your skin is more tan than normal, this can have an effect on the laser’s ability to properly target the hair. As the hair follicle absorbs the laser light, this will trigger the hair’s natural resting, or telogen, phase.
