Lasers have been used for the removal of unwanted hair by physicians since 1998. Since that time the technology used has dramatically improved and patients, including those with dark skin, are seeing very good and lasting results. Generally laser hair removal is 80% to 90% effective, meaning 90% of hair in the area will likely remain gone.
