Blue Water Spa is owned and operated by board certified plastic surgeon, Michael Law MD. Blue Water Spa has been voted Best Medical Spa in America three consecutive years by American Spa Magazine. The laser center performs over 10,000 laser hair removal procedures each year on men and women of all skin types.
The lasers at Blue Water Spa have been evaluated as the most effective in peer-reviewed medical journals. These sophisticated lasers target the root of the hair so specifically that they not only eliminate very dark and coarse hair, but are also the most effective lasers for the removal of fine hair and even hair with a light brown root. The lasers at Blue Water Spa are also the safest and most comfortable providing consistent contact cooling. The lasers used are also the fastest. A man's back or woman's legs can be completed in just 20 minutes. The Blue Water Spa laser center is equipped with 4 lasers and 2 light sources because no single laser is ideal for all skin types.

Dr. Law has been wonderful. Very professional and eager to answer all my questions. My laser hair removal treatment went smooth, without redness or bruises from the laser. I got my lower legs done and Dr. Law's staff proved to be extremely skilful and quick. He also gave me lots of valuable advice on skin care and the staff was so friendly. I am very happy with the results and I recommend him and his clinic to anyone. Definitely money well spent!

Lasers have been used for the removal of unwanted hair by physicians since 1998. Since that time the technology used has dramatically improved and patients, including those with dark skin, are seeing very good and lasting results. Generally laser hair removal is 80% to 90% effective, meaning 90% of hair in the area will likely remain gone. Follow up maintenance treatments may be needed at 6 months to a year following the initial series of treatment to maintain hair removal.
It’s important if you are considering laser hair removal to protect your skin from the sun. Lasers work by targeting the melanin pigment in your hair follicle and if your skin is more tan than normal, this can have an effect on the laser’s ability to properly target the hair. As the hair follicle absorbs the laser light, this will trigger the hair’s natural resting, or telogen, phase.
