I must say that after my first age spot treatment with Dr. Friedman I am extremely happy with my appearance. My face looks so much better and he knew just what to do to clear my spots. He is very thoughtful and a genuine professional, making me feel so comfortable and safe. I am lucky to have access to one of the top practitioners in the field. He is a very skilful doctor and I would recommend him at any time for any kind of esthetic treatment.

Lasers have been used for the removal of unwanted hair by physicians since 1998. Since that time the technology used has dramatically improved and patients, including those with dark skin, are seeing very good and lasting results. Generally laser hair removal is 80% to 90% effective, meaning 90% of hair in the area will likely remain gone. Follow up maintenance treatments may be needed at 6 months to a year following the initial series of treatment to maintain hair removal.

It’s important if you are considering laser hair removal to protect your skin from the sun. Lasers work by targeting the melanin pigment in your hair follicle and if your skin is more tan than normal, this can have an effect on the laser’s ability to properly target the hair. As the hair follicle absorbs the laser light, this will trigger the hair’s natural resting, or telogen, phase.
