Provo
Provo was originally called Fort Utah when it was settled in 1849 by 33 Mormon
families from Salt Lake City, but was renamed Provo in 1850 for Étienne Provost,
an early French-Canadian trapper. As its name stated, it is located in Utah, 43
miles south of Salt Lake City and between the cities of Orem to the north and Springville
to the south.
Its mild weather makes it suitable when in search not only for a clinic that offers
permanent laser hair removal treatment, but also for a place that has the best doctors
and technologies available.
While modern, Provo still offers visitors or hair removal patients’ glimpses of
the wild life, deer, moose or (rarely) cougars still roaming the mountains and sometimes
the city streets. Month after month, session after session of laser treatment, you
can also enjoy hiking, skiing, fishing, all depending on the season.
One of the most important events is the July America's Freedom Festival, held in
LaVell Edwards Stadium, home to Brigham Young University's NCAA football team. These
Independence Day festivities are very popular and worthy of spending the national
day outside the house.
After the long winter months, this event is ideal to show off your perfectly hairless
legs, since the laser removal procedure ensures that 90% of the unwanted hair will
disappear, no matter if the areas concerned are the arms, the face, the back or
the chest. Notable figures as Bob Hope, David Hasselhoff, Mandy Moore, Huey Lewis
and the News, Glenn Beck and Miley Cyrus appeared at these festivities along the
years.
The fall also has its share of shows. The Sego Festival brings into the spot light
local musicians, artists and film makers, while The Festival Latinoamericano is
organized on the Labor Day weekend and it is perfect to come downtown with the family
and get to know the region’s Hispanic culture.
With a darker skin tone, Hispanic or black people can have some trouble with their
hair removal, but the laser treatment always achieves better results than waxing,
creams or shaving.
