Went to a well advertised "med-spa" which showed photo of physican/owner in the ad. In reality, physican was never there and both procedures were performed by a LPN who was uncertified and had only received training on the Fotona YAG laser by the phycian's wife (a non-medical person).
Was not provided with pre-op instructions by this clinic.
First treatment, skin was cleaned and laser applied. I had no problems. Second treatment, technician forgot to cleanse skin and applied the laser while I had on make up (with embedded SPF 15 in it). Results are long term marks from the treatment which I had done over a year ago.
I would strongly advise anyone considering this to evaluate the clinic and ensure that the procedure is being done by a physician. Also, do a lot of your own research before having laser hair removal done. This site is one of the best I have seen. Wish I had seen it before I had my experience.

After only a single treatment, I did not have to shave for 2 months! That was outstanding! I need probably 1-2 more treatments and I will be FREE!
I started the bikini area too, that was even easier! No more razor burn! Yeah!

I was a real life teddy bear. I had a very thick covering of hair on my entire body. I lost over 150 lbs and had extensive plastic surgery to fix the skin. After all that work why let the hair cover it all up. I had my entire body from neckline to upper thighs (except small upper pubic "friction" patch)done. I was very unhappy at first because the center was using an Nd: Yag laser for hair removal. After too many visits they finaly admitted they had a new laser comming in that was specificaly for hair. After just three visits I was almost totaly bare. I'll only need a few touch up sesions. The treatment was a little painfull in certain areas, but the result, my almost hairless body was so worth it. I find my cloths fit better and I don't sweat as much. I now can look in the mirror and like what I see. No more Fozzy Bear

I had really bad sideburns my whole life, and as a woman, that is not something to be proud of. I was always so self conscious of it but there really was nothing that I could do besides waxing. I went in to see my dermatologist about a completely unrelated matter and he told me that I would be a good candidate for laser hair removal. I figured that I would give it a try. It was pretty painful, and it cost a lot more than I felt that I could afford, but I did it anyway. I am really happy with the way that I look now and don't feel self conscious at all. I only wish I had done it sooner.
