Went to a well advertised "med-spa" which showed photo of physican/owner in the ad. In reality, physican was never there and both procedures were performed by a LPN who was uncertified and had only received training on the Fotona YAG laser by the phycian's wife (a non-medical person).
Was not provided with pre-op instructions by this clinic.
First treatment, skin was cleaned and laser applied. I had no problems. Second treatment, technician forgot to cleanse skin and applied the laser while I had on make up (with embedded SPF 15 in it). Results are long term marks from the treatment which I had done over a year ago.
I would strongly advise anyone considering this to evaluate the clinic and ensure that the procedure is being done by a physician. Also, do a lot of your own research before having laser hair removal done. This site is one of the best I have seen. Wish I had seen it before I had my experience.

I have been suffering from a lot of facial hair over the last several years. The past year it seems to have been getting thicker. I has lazer hair removal before and it did not really work. This time I actually went to a doctor who specializes in it. After the first treatment I immediately noticed the diffference. The hair is almost gone and there only remains a few patches. That is just after one treatment! I am very pleased and can not wait for the other 4 sessions I am to receive.

I went to a salon for laser treatment, but I did not research the cost, the number of sessions or the experience the technician should have prior to my treatments. I have had over 14 sessions and I still get facial hair because the laser was too weak, and the technician missed areas during the sessions. They told me it would only take 6 session because I am white with dark hair, but that was a lie. Overall, the hair has been 80% reduced, but it has been a very frustrating experience.

I had hair r. at a plastic surgeons office in Newport Beach,CA,10 years ago in my mid 20s.The hair was minimal for 3 years and marginal for 3,4 years has grown back.So figure technology is better and medical personel more efficient w/ laser treatments.Nurse was awesome at her job.
The Doctor went so close to tattoos on my arm the laser
hit it.It was a good size burn,like someone had put a cigarette on it and let it burn.He burned me 1x on each arm!
Burns healed,tattoos have been redone and cannot see scars.
